My guardian angel has been whispering in the ears of people in my life. And what has she (at least I imagine that she is a she) been telling them? That I need some help tackling life. And she’d be absolutely spot on. I have been casting about for the last year or so. The trouble is that I tend to make plans that are too large… Or perhaps it is that I don’t break things down into manageable pieces very well.
Strangely incongruent with my former career as an event planner. Every event was broken down into digestible bits. The venues and vendors were vetted, chosen, and consulted according to a firm timeline. The event itself was divided into 15 minute increments so that everything ran smoothly. Why, then, do I seem to have forgotten how to apply those principles to my real life?
No matter. Help has arrived.
My online friend, Joy, fulfilled my Christmas wish and sent me Small Steps for Catholic Moms, and the Companion Journal, both by Danielle Bean and Elizabeth Foss
. Then Brian’s mom surprised me with A Catholic Woman’s Book Of Days
by Amy Wellborn.
I am thrilled to have these three women helping me with a piece of my most important event – life.
