WELCOME!
December 26th, 2007 Posted in GeneralWelcome to my blog! On this site I hope to relate my life’s adventures. As with many fathers, time is a premium, so I hope to be able to spend adequate time to relate the important aspect of my life as a husband of 16 years, father of six, computer engineer for 14 years, and most importantly - candidate to the diaconate for the Worcester Diocese.
My lovely wife Nissa writes much more often than I over at Simple Gifts. She is the inspiration of my life, biggest supporter, and the creative genious of the household.
My children make me what I am. I am driven to provide them what then need. Cate (15), Jack (13), Carrie (11), Will (6), Sophie (2), and Louie (1) are everything to me. In my youth, if someone tried to tell me I’d have six children - I would have laughed. Now I think my life would have been completely empty without anyone of them. I wouldn’t trade a day I’ve had with them for anything (alright, maybe one or two).
Nissa and I run a family business. We are currently working to get a few ventures off the ground - Renaissance Centre will hopefully become the center of our life. We are working to locate adequate farm land to take this to the level it needs, but we have many requirements that is proving hard to meet. Partridge Hill Media produces family-focused material (digital and print). Nissa is taking the reigns on this while we work to overcome some significant barriers. Until these become adequate means of support, I continue my career in IT as a consultant with Templar Technology. I am currently working a large IT design project for the US Air Force (I previously served on active duty for seven years).
Finally, I begin my formal formation program to the Diaconate just after the new year. I look forward to deeping my spiritual faith over the coming years and to become a leader in the Catholic Church. I very much hope to be able to help teach our youth more than I learned growing up Catholic, but not quite understanding why we did what we did.
Check back when you can to get what little tidbits I maybe able to provide, when I can. Comments are always welcome.
God Bless
