{Made for Learning}

I have been using my Facebook-free time {well, some of it} to work on our curriculum.

I’m going to have two kindergarteners (reception), two foundation, a logic and a rhetoric student.  It is the most I’ve had at once.  I love that I’ve managed to create something that integrates all ‘subjects’, all developmental stages into one curriculum that we can work on together.  One of the things I’ve disliked about homeschooling is that every curriculum I’ve found so far is in a million different pieces – not easily do-able for a large family.  At least, not for this large family.

I think I’m going to have the entire Middle Ages/Renaissance/Reformations ready to share by the time we start our new year on Michaelmas.  I have Handwork, Art, Music, Movement, Literature and Science Blocks.  I’m working on Maths and History.  I’ve also got a book list and added resource list coming along.  I’m sure I will be adding more and more blocks to the curriculum. I keep thinking of, or stumbling across more material that a block could be created from.

I’m not sure when I’ll move on to Exploration and Revolutions, but I’m sure I’ll be as excited about working on that.
