Helping Hands

One of the pleasures of operating a family business is being able to allow the little folks to help out. It gives them a great sense of ownership and pride. They take special care to make sure that everything is handled properly, and they learn from an early age, in a very particular way, that work and prayer go hand in hand. Yesterday, Jo helped Cat to get a large order ready for one of best customers (and friends).

Wait, wait… Rewind this Blog.

It’s been two months since I posted anything on this blog.  SO much has happened.  I’m going to have to rewind this blog and fill in the gaps.

In the meantime, perhaps you would enjoy some images from the farm last week?

Oh, and a link to the mitten pattern I was revising from the one I published in, I think, 2006.  You’ve seen these antique mittens around, I’m sure.  I have expanded on the original design to include NINE sizes from newborn (thumbless) to adult large, plus suggestions for variations and care, and a few more photos inside.

It’s an instant download and your purchase helps to support our farm and ministry.

Renaissance Mama Patterns

Besides working on curriculum for the children, I have been working on revising my patterns to offer through the store.  One of the first revisions will be my Family Vintage Mittens crochet pattern in sizes newborn (thumbless) to adult large.  I have included suggestions for variations on the pattern, and mitten care.  They make up super fast, which is great when you need a slew of them.

The trees here in the hills of central Massachusetts are beginning to turn, which is my signal to get going on cold weather projects.  I hope to have a downloadable pattern available by the end of this week so that you can yarn along with me.  Then I’ll probably start on my kimono and revised longies patterns.  And I’ve got a few new originals to share before diving into more rescued vintage.

We interrupt this blog…
